Makeup to the Rescue!

Ah wedding bells & fun with the fam turned into a great opportunity for me. I had promised my mom, the birthday girl, this weekend that I would make her pretty for the wedding. As I was placing on her lashes & doing the finishing touches, I was approached by the mother of the groom. She was frantic, it turned
out her makeup person was in traffic. Time was short but I said have a seat. I learned she doesn’t like makeup & never wears it. That said, I knew I had to keep it simple but still have her look great in all the pics she would be in with her son & his new wife. I threw my nerves aside & got right into it. She
relaxed & was pleasantly surprised with the work I had done. It was a beautiful day made even more
beautiful!

Back to Basics Complete!

Hooray! I have completed my basic training. So far I have conquered bridal looks, applying lashes, smokey eye, & so much more. Not only did I learn a lot about makeup application, but I learned a lot about myself. After reflecting on different obstacles I faced in my life, I realized how hard working & determined I am. Nothing was ever handed to me & I don’t take things for granted. My family & friends are a blessing. With their support & my perseverance, I can reach my goals. Included are some before & after pics of my work so far & I’m very excited to continue building my portfolio.

Let the journey begin

Hey friends,

I’m inviting all of you to join me on my adventure!
As most of you may know I am taking my love of makeup to the next level.  For those of you who are just getting acquainted with me let me give you some history.  As a child I was always getting into my mom’s makeup, & by 2nd grade had quite a collection of my own in my early 90s caboodle.  In high school I took classes at John Casablancas.  I learned the basic principles of applying my own makeup for photo shoots & runway shows.  My friends always let me give them what we would call “the Brianna makeover”, which continued into college.  I attended & graduated from Philadelphia University with honors with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.  While there I helped with the fashion shows by doing makeup & dressing (both at school & for department stores).  I was part of our Fashion club (FAME) & also wrote a couple articles for our school news style segment.  So now I am currently studying make up from Alexa Prisco in Hoboken.  I am gaining more confidence & developing my skills as a makeup artist & entrepreneur.  I’m very excited to have you join me since this is just the beginning…photo 3
